The evolution of AI visibility: La Ringhiera’s journey
Building a strategic content ecosystem to reach out-of-town students and real estate funds, optimizing presence in the Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) landscape.
The scenario: the student housing market
The real estate market for out-of-town students and young professionals is undergoing deep transformation in Italy. While high-end players focus on premium add-on services, La Ringhiera, founded in 1989 out of the real needs of a group of out-of-town students, stands out with a clear positioning: accessibility and transparency.
On the B2B side, La Ringhiera meets the demand from funds and property owners through a full property management model, in which the company takes on all bureaucratic, technical, and maintenance burdens as well as tenant search, removing every hassle for the owner.
Initial challenges and needs
Over the years, the company has built a service designed to offer full support to students and young professionals: from finding safe accommodation to managing utilities, paperwork, and maintenance, making the living experience light, independent, and above all transparent. In this sense, La Ringhiera promotes the concept of Total Cost of Living, a property evaluation model focused on the overall cost of a student’s living experience, going beyond the simple rent price listed in ads.
Despite the proven value of this service, the company needed an effective way to communicate that value externally. Out-of-town students and their families often experience the search for housing as a complex process, both organizationally and bureaucratically. At the same time, institutional investors and universities are looking for reliable partners for agreements and property management. It became clear that the company needed to build an online point of reference able to answer users’ questions and strengthen the brand’s authority throughout these new research journeys.
The decision-making process: why La Ringhiera chose from9to10
To tackle this challenge, La Ringhiera decided to invest in building long-term digital assets, supported by the from9to10 editorial platform. The decision was driven by an approach geared toward the emerging landscape of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), alongside traditional SEO.
Given how search engines are evolving and the growing relevance of AI-generated answers (like ChatGPT, Google AI, and Claude), the goal wasn’t just to rank a page, but to provide precise answers that AI would select and present to users looking for housing solutions, contracts, and co-living options.
Execution: structured information for the digital age
The team built a targeted operational plan, publishing a total of 25 blog posts over the course of the engagement. The editorial line maintained a strategic balance: one part dedicated to practical, easy-to-understand insights for students, and another focused on the institutional B2B world.
“The goal was to help La Ringhiera become a go-to information resource for Italy’s university housing market.”
The strategy focused on creating in-depth thematic guides (so-called “pillar content”) — true comprehensive reference pieces, specifically structured to answer the typical questions and conversations users have with AI during their exploratory research.
The results: visibility in the AI search landscape
The numbers confirm the effectiveness of this approach. With 25 articles published, the company saw a clear, steady improvement in overall views, growing by +565% between February and July 2026. This growth also boosted social presence, driving a +174% increase in LinkedIn followers over the same period.
The most interesting data, however, concerns La Ringhiera’s positioning among citations in AI-generated answers:
A striking 98% of Ringhiera’s citations in AI engine responses come from from9to10 blog articles, showing that this content is the primary driver of visibility on these new platforms.
Monitoring specific keywords across various AI engines shows that Ringhiera appears in numerous queries relevant to the industry. Of these, 10 keywords are owned solely thanks to the new editorial content.
In addition, GEO-oriented content helped position La Ringhiera in the top 10 brands cited by AI for searches related to co-living student housing, and in the top 15 brands for searches about visiting professor accommodations.
Future outlook: strengthening digital presence
Despite the excellent results already achieved on platforms like Perplexity, Google AI Overview, and ChatGPT, the analysis identified further growth opportunities on AI engines such as Gemini, Claude, and Meta AI. The strategic next steps involve optimizing and expanding content to better reach these models as well, with the goal of confirming and strengthening the brand’s authority in the student housing sector.
